White flower from the Chicago Botanic Garden

Another flower picture from Gigi and the resulting micropoetry from me 🙂

I see a little girl, named
Sunshine (or Sunny for short)
with her blonde hair
in pigtails
and big blue eyes
gleaming mischievously
as she plays hopscotch
in her starched
white dress

Flower…Chicago Botanic Garden (today)

This gorgeous flower from Gigi prompted a micro poem from me so I had to reblog 🙂

Here is the poem:

blossoms
blush prettily
as they unfold
their supple petals
to cradle wee fae folk
as they sleep

hearing your voice

was like sucking on saltines

leaving my mouth dry and dusty

i turned to see if it was really you

and my stomach tried to leave without me
