Haiku prompted by the following quote:

[…] “We have lost contact with reality, the simplicity of life”. […] Paulo Coelho

These are separate…and in no particular order.

illumination

of every street light and house

obscure the moonlight

2.

social networking

facebook friends and followers

don’t replace friendship

3.

live your own real life

there is no reality

on television

4.

don’t follow blindly

choose to see reality

take off your shoes, stay awhile

enjoy the moments

long legged recluse (haiku)

I am caught up in

your sticky threaded prison;

your reluctant prey.

·

I’m firmly ensnared.

Your silky, sweet sounding lies

have woven a web.

·

A gauze-like blindfold

distorts my vision of you,

but I still see you.

·

Hairs raise, skin tingles

as I await your venom

poisonous or not.

love (haiku)

all-encompassing

absolute, true and boundless

is Mother Earth’s love

she nurtures all in

a universal embrace

will you love her back?

Do you see the birds? (a series of haiku)

Picture taken right outside my writing room. Do you see the birds?

Picture taken right outside my writing room.
Do you see the birds?

green leaves in shadow

birds perched on slender branches

outside my window

blue birds do fly bys

chirping gossip out of tune

they sing no response

flitting in the breeze

that warns of the coming rain

they seek no shelter

content to just be

little green leafy birds stay

to inspire me
