Undoing (with audio)

Black

on grey

on twilight,

the purple dusk

and bruised toenail

sliver of moon.

The trees

are dark beasts

on the horizon

and I rode- I strode,

on my own two-feet

to the gallows,

the sad-sweet moment

of my undoing

its not magic

but something else

altogether—

Like a first smile,

like a newly found element.

Something else,

yes, something else entirely.

There is a face in the moon,

a skull,

a dry, dead grinning thing

and it is this,

it is always this

I return to.

WINTERING

Originally posted in 2013. Poem with Audio ๐Ÿ™‚

Wordifull

Wintering this body.

I wear my seperateness

like a shield from fantasy

and the fear of cold.

I know by now

one santa claus

who comes with a strange,

black gift for each of us.

I know love is real

but a fugitive from law.

That freedomโ€™s breath is raw

and the world we think round

is shapeless after all.

WINTERING

I’m reblogging one of my first posts. ย AND I’m adding an audio clip. ย This is my first attempt at recording and I must admit it is kinda scary…so I started with a brief one ๐Ÿ™‚ I’d love some feedback!

Wintering this body.

I wear my seperateness like a shield from fantasy and the fear of cold.
