come here, boy

again and again I speak

yet my words fall on deaf ears

or at least ones with selective hearing

come here, boy

I want to kiss you with my mouth full

of words, of sentences

that way you will have to consume them

once swallowed and digested

will you finally comprehend?

everlasting love

when poet meets muse

their kisses are poetry;

everlasting love

Mooning

Image by Epic Images from Pixabay

The full moon peeped through partial clouds

desperately trying to get a look at the couple below

wanting to bask in their light as they bask in the moon’s light

for the moon is no fool and she knows true love when she sees it

shadow of what once was

Image by bruce lam from Pixabay

in fleeting kisses

our breaths mingle

hands once held tightly

have lost their grasp

still our lives are entwined

our love is still true

just a shadow

of what once was

shining

you say it is the sunshine you crave
it is shining
you just can’t see it from your dark cave
you say you need the warmth, the light
it is shining
you just don’t give yourself the right
you’re not willing to go outside,
outside yourself, outside the “comfort”
of what you already know is no good for you
you say it is the sunshine you crave
and it is shining
as brightly for you as it ever was
if only you’d open your eyes,
your heart,
your mind

мιdиιgнт вlυεѕ

ever have the мιdиιgнт вlυεѕ?

in the middle of the day?

ever figure what to do?

to chase мιdиιgнт вlυεѕ away?

“who am I?!”

running madly into the forest

angry tears streaming down my face

i am repulsed but who i’ve let myself become

i scream “who am I?!”

raw vocal chords producing a sound unrecognizable

even to myself

the moon cast purple shadows over me

and i begin to hear it

a thousand voices chanting and singing

in languages older than time

softly at first them seemingly swelling around me, a symphony

and i feel the ache in my chest lessen

and i am soothed by the knowledge that they

still recognize me, that I am still me

and there is time yet to begin again
