I stand corrected. I think you are in the States, yes? If this is correct then the insect is a hummingbird moth, probably, a Clearwing hummingbird moth.

We have them here too. We thought they were hummers but they are moths. Great shot. ๐
OMG! It’s a scary moth!
I mean, I’m not against moths…. some are gorgeous, but some really freak me out! I looked up hummingbird moth. I’ve broken a sweat, and need a break!
