pretty please ;)

excuse me,

I hate to ask ,

but can I borrow your muse…

just for a little while?

you see mine has gone on vacation

(at least I hope it is just a vacation)

and she seems to have forgotten to tell me where she has gone

or when she will be back for that matter.

I know your muse is completely different from mine

but still…just a jump start, just a whisper?

  1. So nice to see you, Melanie. ๐Ÿ™‚
I just did a poetic prompt at dVerse today about “fear”. Not for everyone, but I’ll throw it your way.
    Hope all is well!

  2. Ha Ha!!! Well written… But I keep mymuse!

Oh, how well I know this struggle, when we hope it’s just vacation and not a sobering waje up from artistic delusion. I guess self doubt is a part of this job…

… sorry if I don’t make any sense, I’m kind of new here ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. I’d gladly lend you mine, but she’s getting on in years and prefers to sleep the day away

  5. A lovely poem but seriously, you’re starving her. You must ply her with dark chocolate brownies/cake and delicious pies. Offer her yummy words, dripping with the juice from the sweetest pears. Crisp, lovely, cookies on a beautiful plate. Entice her with torn pages from old dictionaries, and great works. Sprinkle petals around yourself as you sleep. Call her home and give her a blank screen on which to play. โค I'd lend you my muse but she insists that I would die without her, so there's that. Besides, my dear friend, if you were in my head for more than a few seconds…well, I would be visiting you in the hospital. I hope she returns soon.

  6. Been there, I swear it’s hard
