Rain Dance

Living through a drought

Hoping for rain

Even a quick sprinkling would be welcome

Though no substitute for the needed downpour

Not enough, over too soon

The land is left still parched

Crops wither and die

I try to cry out to the universe

But my voice has dried up too

and my screams, mere dust, fall to the ground

I’d do a rain dance

But I’m no dancer

And I lack grace

I might offend

Then even the sprinkles

might cease

  3. Yes I think you need a rain dance! I’m not sure if that requires stomping but you sure can give it a shot! Rain please at Melanie’s house!

  4. As long as your intention is for rain, the dance will be beautiful.
    Happy New Year, Melanie. 🙂

  5. Ok..I am officially liking this one again!
