Janey over at Cupid or Cats (if you have not met this very funny lady go check her out HERE ) put me on the spot challenged me and I’m going to attempt to rise to the occasion :).
The challenge is to write ten lines, four words to each line, each containing the word love and nominate ten others to join the challenge. Sounds pretty simple, right? Right?!
Always looking for love
♥
Thought you found love
♥
That love wasn’t True
♥
You mourned love and
♥
tried to “love” you
♥
♥
♥
But what IS love?
♥
What’s love to you?
♥
To ever find love
♥
you must define love
♥
love may find you
♥
~Melanie Thomason
Oh! And as far as the nominations go…you know I’m a rule breaker soooo..
I nominate YOU!
That’s right, if you are reading this, right now…
you have been challenged to Spread the Love!! Get right on that, will ya?!
I knew you’d rock this! Seriously, that was amazing 🙂 you even made it look pretty, not to mind how it sounded! Thanks for accepting the challenge 🙂
Thank you! 🙂 It was fun!
Ten you say? Well, unfortunately I’m the twelfth to Like so I’m out. Maybe next time.
Good try, Peter but you don’t get off that easy…see I know that most people will not participate…i’d wager not a 1/4 of the people who click like. So that means the first 40 likes are all nominated! 😀 In fact lets just make it for every single person who reads this now or in the future LOL.
Unless of course you just don’t want to and I am completely ok with that too!
That was a shameful copout I do admit. Maybe I’ll see what I can come up with, but not tonight.
🙂 No pressure 🙂
Is Love the word?
Love is the word!
The word is Love
And Love is so
And so Love is
As Love so does
And Love does show
In Love’s first glow
How far Love goes
Love, rhymes with dove
Thanks for coming through! That last line got me 😉
I will only attempt by bowing humbly to your creation..
What happened to love?
I thought love smiled.
Love played my heart,
pulled on every string.
Love enslaved my mind,
love became my wings
Then love bid farewell,
seduced by Love Train.
Powerless devoid of love,
I incarnated as Love!
At least I tried, don’t cry………..
Lovely poem Sonia! 🙂 It is a pleasure to see your creation here 🙂
Coming from your level of expert beauty in poetry and literary creativity, I know you are being very kind and generous. I messed up on the fourth line, according to the instruction, while copying from my handwriting. It should read, “love pulled every string”. It was 1:30 a.m. my time, may be I will do better next time. I just wanted you to really know how advanced you are in your divine gifting. Thank you anyway for encouraging me.
The last time I spread the Love Melanie it upset the hell out of my first wife. 😉
Laurie, LOL I really shouldn’t laugh at that…but ya know 😉
yeah, I know. 😉
This was so much fun! I “LOVE” it. All the poems by the people are fun as well. Great poem and wonderful idea Melanie.
