finding pink~ for Michelle Marie, Happy Birthday!

I’ve never been

a pink kind of girl

not a tomboy

but certainly no frills

no froo-froo

rarely caught in a dress

and ruffles are

strictly

NOT

allowed

โ‹…

But you,

you have me

finding pink

embracing it

Flowers kissed with a hint of pink

the blush of pink of a young girls cheek

fushia streaks across the sky

all around me I see pink

and I keep looking

for those pink trees, girl

Cause I know

when i spot one

you will be sitting beneath it

probably sipping

on a pink lemonade ๐Ÿ™‚

  1. Clever indeed… One thing I can tell you, is that I am not a pink sort of guy!

    • 50 is a beautiful age, isn’t it? We get to enjoy and savor life so much.
Way to own it! Happy birthday. ~ Marie
      (great name by the way…)

      • HEHE My Grandmother on my mom’s side was named Augusta Marie. But she didn’t like Augusta. Which I love. I was born in August so my middle name is after her. ๐Ÿ˜€ I agree with you! Hey you gotta own it because hiding is not a good thing! It’s hard to believe I am! I shocked everyone at work. I stay pretty much to myself! I love know your name is Marie too!

    • Sorry for the delay just getting aroung to replying to comments. I’m really glad you liked it and it looks like you ended up having a fabulous fun and love filled Birthday! YAY!

You may not see yourself as a “pink” girl, but the way you expressed your admiration for the pinkness in Mechelle, brought a vision of you as a sweet and beautiful six year old skipping in your black shiny shoes, dressed in an Easter pink organza dress humming to yourself a tune for flying to your pink moon. I wonder if the moon has actually changed its color from blue to acommodate your pinkish life. How I wish for it to be true for you. I will hold on to this vision long enough for the dream to materialize. You have given Michelle a precious gift from your heart, now its your turn to receive the gift of “once in a lifetime”! Happy gifting to both you and Michelle.

I wonder why I heard a joyful piano solo while reading?

  11. I’ve not been a pink frilly girl for a long time either, but I guess some people could be influential and persuasive, I might just change that – very good Melanie!! ๐Ÿ˜€

  12. Moving and yes, I have found pink too!
