◊
as I walk
down cobblestone
I can tell
i’m not alone
but there is nothing
here to fear
and I walk on
◊
suddenly
to my delight
leaves are flitting in the breeze,
harmonizing with the trees
they need no melody
they sing,
acapella

Lovely words and picture Melanie.
Thank you! (sorry for the delayed response) 🙂
Who are you again? Do I know you? he he he, 😉
Ha! 🙂
Ooh, beautiful, I always feel the sound of leaves in trees is like music! Can be very loud sometimes too! 🙂
Thank you so much, Suzy! (sorry for the delayed response) 🙂
It’s so unfair I can only click like button once… I can so much relate to this poem, Melanie, as I have a habit of walking away my stress/other emotions. Beautiful capture of that little moment that pinches our restless brains every once in a while…
How sweet of you to say 🙂
Yes a walk can put things in perspective for sure.
I just love the last to lines because they are true and remind me to pay more attention to the sounds around me. What happy and excellent poem.
Thank you, lovely! (sorry for the delayed response…so behind on answering comments) 🙂
