We have lost a great treasure today and I could think of no greater tribute than to feature this phenomenal woman reading one of her fabulous poems.

wonderful – I shall watch a listen a few more time – thank you for posting this as we celebrate Angelou’s life today and the days that follow….
Such a powerful reading, isn’t it? Thank you for listening and celebrating her life.
This is always a favourite one of her poems in my mind, and Phenomenal Woman too. She was really so good, we shall all miss her and her wonderful words! π
Yes she was wonderful and Phenomenal women is another excellent poem…I almost posted that as well π
I watched a few of the videos. I know that I will never, in a million years, in the smallest way, be the kind of person she is. She is all kinds of good and understanding, forgiving and soft spoken. I’ve always had great respect for her and her work. She’s a wonderful example and role model. As I said, I will never, in a million years, be one inch of all that she was. It’s okay though, there’s room for everyoneβ¦even loud, in your face, chip on your shoulder, aggressive, vengeful, people like me:) I know that’s true, because she kind of said that. π So if Maya said it, it must be true. Hugs Melanie. I loved this post. Thank you. You’re stuff is not all showing up on my reader again. I’ll just check in on your blog.
Hugs back to you, you wonderful woman π
I don;t know why WP reader keeps screwing up… you’ve caught most of my stuff π
